Flamenco on early records presents cante (song), toque (guitar) and related Andalusian popular forms. Short sides capture soleá, seguiriya, tangos, fandangos and other palos in the voices and hands of professional artists.
About this hearth
Commercial cylinders and discs of flamenco were made from the late nineteenth century onward, chiefly in Spanish cities with a strong café-cantante and theatre circuit. Solo voice with guitar is the classic studio format; some sides add palmas or small accompaniment. The limits of early recording favour compact cante and falsetas rather than extended live juerga structure, yet ornament, mode and rhythmic family remain clear. These records are among the earliest durable documents of a tradition that was still crystallising as a public art.

Every recording here is a historical track sourced from a public archive and remastered through a purpose-built chain — the same fixed chain for every file, no machine-learning enhancement.
